Local Authority Guidance
NPSA have created tailored guidance for local authority staff who routinely enter residential properties or have access to domestic waste as part of their role. This guidance aims to increase staff awareness of potential indicators of suspicious activity, enabling them to report any concerns following the appropriate protocol, as detailed in the guidance.
This guidance is only available to local authorities and should only be requested by team leaders or managers of staff who routinely enter residential properties or have access to domestic waste. For example, this may include housing officers, care workers, environmental health officers, refuse collectors, or estate caretakers, but it is not limited to these roles. At the moment, this does not include external suppliers who are contracted by the local authority for certain services.
If you would like to receive this guidance, please fill in the Local Authority Guidance request form.
