VibraSector - Barrier Mounted PIDS on Palisade with mesh backing with BTC Topping

The system has been assessed on the following fence types:

3000mm High Palisade and Mesh Fence with a 950mm diameter barbed tape concertina topping fitted this was supported on 2 No Galvanized line wires fixed to T bars fitted at each post.

The VibraTek VS sensor cable was installed in two horizontal runs of sensor with the lower run fixed to the 5th horizontal wire of the mesh fence just below the lower arris rail of the palisade fence, and the upper run fixed along the lower edge of razor coil topping above the BTC support wires. UV resistant cable ties were used to secure the sensor cable at intervals of 200mm. Details of the system settings used together with design drawings and specifications are available from NPSA on demand.

NPSA recommend that 4 metal cable ties are used per bay. Additional cable ties used to meet the manufacturer’s recommendations for fixings can be either metal or plastic.
